JAMES CLIFFORD RUDD, SR., 79 years of Darlington, MD, went to be with his Lord on January 1, 2016. He was the husband of Betty Rae (Dowell) Rudd with whom he would have celebrated their 58th anniversary later this month.

Born on June 27, 1936 in Renick, WV, he was a son born to the late Jack and Irene (Bostic) Rudd and had spent his early years in Delta, PA. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Rudd was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church where he worshiped alongside his loving wife. He had a great admiration for guitars, both playing and repairing them. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and following the Ravens and Orioles of Baltimore. Mr. Rudd often remarked that one of his life's most precious treasures was his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings-Larry Rudd, Donald Rudd and Pat Langer

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 3414 Cedar Church Road, Darlington, MD 21034 where the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Interment will be in Welcome Home Cemetery, Bel Air, MD.
