JAMES O. GREIDER, age 86 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lydia Olive (Torbert) Greider, and they shared sixty-one years of marriage.

Mr. Greider was born on March 7, 1922 in Whiteford, Maryland; he was a son of the late Owen A. and Pearl E. (James) Greider. He was a lifetime resident of the Whiteford, Maryland/Delta, Pennsylvania areas. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. He retired in 1972 as a field technician from Edgewood Arsenal in Harford County, Maryland after thirty years of service. He was a member of Slateville Presbyterian Church in Delta, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed working on old trucks, farming, and loved spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6 - 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Reverend Harry R. Robinson officiating.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
