James Edward Lehr, Sr., 86, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Born on April 30, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland, James was the son of the late James Edward Grover, Jr. and Anna May Wildason.

James was a hardworking man who spent many years owning and operating his own house painting business. Outside of work, he enjoyed collecting clocks and could often be found cheering on his beloved Baltimore Ravens. Above all, James treasured the time he shared with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Ruth Lehr; his children, Dennis Lehr, James Lehr, Jr., and Denise Lehr-Scott; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Wagner-Elfner & Harkins Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA 17314.

A funeral service honoring James’s life will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
