JAMES H. MCCRACKEN, SR., age 76 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at York Hospital after an accidental fall. He was the husband of Sondra Eileen (Grannas) McCracken who died on September 28, 2007.

Mr. McCracken was born on April 13, 1932 in Abington, Virginia; he was a son of the late Robert Rosenbaum and Lottie Louise Widener Harris. He worked as a foreman for Hedwin's Plastic Corporation in Baltimore City for eighteen years. He and his late wife moved to Delta in 1980 and lived with his son and daughter-in-law. They opened and operated the former C&L Country Kitchen in Delta until their retirement in 1984. He was a member of Bryansville United Methodist Church in Delta; he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Final resting arrangements will be private.
