Obituary

JAMES WALLACE McDANIEL, age 73 years, of Darlington, Maryland died on Friday, January 19, 2006 at 7:41 PM at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.

He was the husband of Grace (Williams) McDaniel and on October 15, 2005 they celebrated their fifty-fifth anniversary.

Mr. McDaniel was born on August 22, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a son of the late Charles and Margaret (Smith) McDaniel. He was a self-employed restaurant owner. Mr. McDaniel and his wife moved from Fallston, Maryland to Darlington in 1969. He was a member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church in Forest Hill, Maryland. Mr. McDaniel, or Jimmy as he was known to most everyone, owned and raised horses for many years. He also enjoyed the pastimes of golf and hunting. His other memberships and interests include the American Pool Association, American Motorcycle Association, and the American Shuffleboard Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

Nancy Blevins and Carolyn Coale, both of Abingdon, Maryland

James W. McDaniel, III of Darlington, Maryland

One brother-

Charles McDaniel, Jr. of Middle River, Maryland

Five sisters-

Shirley Anderson of Cambridge, Maryland

Phyllis Anderson of Key West, Florida

Marguerite Rudolf, Sharon Kilby, and Annette George, all of Bel Air, Maryland

Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter; Donna Coale, his son; James W. McDaniel, his sister; Virginia Lancaster and his brother, Calvin McDaniel.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, Pennsylvania.

Officiating will be Michael Molinaro.

Visitations with the family will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2006 from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
