JAMES M. NEEPER, age 66 years, died on Thursday, May 1, 2008 in his home in Delta, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Charlotte (Griffith) Neeper, and they shared forty-three years of marriage.

Mr. Neeper was born on March 30, 1942 in Delta; he was the son of the late Hugh M. and M. Elizabeth (Cooper) Neeper. He was a lifetime resident of Delta and attended Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Mason Dixon Lions Club and the Kennard Dale High School FFA Chapter. He retired in 1991 from working the farmland for the former Whiteford Packing Company in Whiteford, Maryland.

Mr. Neeper enjoyed working on cars and trucks in addition to floral and vegetable gardening. He spent many good times with friends at the Delta Family Restaurant and had a great love for his family.

Three children, all living in Delta-

James Nelson Neeper, Joseph Malcolm Neeper and Melody Jane Hoffman and her husband, Matthew

Four grandchildren, one great grandchild and many loving nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Neeper, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, Pennsylvania with Pastor Dennis L. McCleary officiating.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
