JAMES V. PRESTI, age 62 years, died on Thursday, February 28, 2008 in his home in Delta, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Pamela (Murphy) Presti, and they shared thirty-seven years of marriage.

Mr. Presti was born on August 20, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland; he was the son of Veronica (Hogarty) Presti of Delta, and the late Anthony J. Presti. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He moved to the Delta area from Forest Hill, Maryland approximately twenty-two years ago. He was of the Roman Catholic faith. Mr. Presti had worked for the Safeway Grocery Stores as a meat cutter for thirty years. He was a member of the John S. Murphy VFW #7130 in Delta, the American Legion Post #605 in Dallastown, Pennsylvania, the Delta Fish & Game and the AARL (American Relay Radio League) in Newington, Connecticut. His call letters were: W4JVP. He was a very talented electronic technician.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by:

A brother, Stephen A. Presti and his wife, Judith of Buena Vista, Virginia

A sister, Catherine Orlando and her husband, John of Pennsylvania

Two half brothers-

Tony Presti, Jr. and his wife, Sheryl of Doylestown, Pennsylvania

Bart Presti of Wheeling, New York

Seven nieces, six nephews, one great niece and five great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 2 until 3:30 when the funeral service will begin at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta.

Pastor Judy L. Walker of Delta United Methodist Church will officiate.

There will be no interment services.
