James E. Workman was the husband of Christine G. (Scruggs) Workman who died on March 20, 2003
Mr. Workman was born on March 24, 1927 at Cordova, West Virginia; he was the son of the late James Patrick and Mahalie (Baldwin) Workman. He was a carpenter and had worked for Turner Whiting for many years until he retired in 1972. Mr. Workman was a member of Evangelical Methodist Church of Dublin, Maryland. He enjoyed riding and taking care of his Tennessee Walker horse. He enjoyed telling stories of the old days growing up in West Virginia, watching NASCAR and fishing.
He is survived by:
Three daughters- Mary Lou and David Williams of Darlington, Maryland; Linda and Lonnie Joines of Sparta, North Carolina; Illene and Larry Lee of Conowingo, Maryland
Two sons- James and Gloria Workman of Garysburg, North Carolina; Blayne and Dawn Workman of Reisterstown, Maryland
Eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
Three brothers- Lee Workman of Renick, West Virginia; Alford Workman of Willow Springs, Missouri; Clay Workman of Port Deposit, Maryland
Two sisters- Jane Roach of Asbury, West Virginia; Marzenia McCoy of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania
