JEAN E. CANTLER, age 87 years, of Delta, PA died at 8:23 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Manor Care Dallastown. She was the wife of Ralph Lee Cantler who died on July 31, 2000.

Mrs. Cantler was born in Delta, PA on March 22, 1923 a daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Taylor) Watson. A lifetime resident of Delta, she was also a lifetime member of the Delta United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 24 years. A former member of the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed crafts, collecting Teddy Bears and Longaberger Baskets and opening her home for the annual Christmas Fair in Delta. Jean could always be found at the former Delta Bakery where she worked for years. A devoted grandmother, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Nova Cantler and companion. Ben Brillhart

Also survived by eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, R. Thomas Cantler and her brothers, James, Taylor and Donnie Watson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Her minister, Pastor Judith L. Walker will officiate.

Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Delta.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday after 12:30 p.m.
