JEAN GILES JOHNSON, age 82 years, of Street, Maryland died on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 12:20 AM in her home. She had been the wife of the late Theodore R. Johnson who died in 1976.

Mrs. Johnson was born on September 22, 1922 in Delta, Pennsylvania; she was a daughter of the late Sanford M. and Janie (Miller) Giles. She was a lifetime resident of the lower York and upper Harford county areas. She was a member of the Trinity AME Zion Church in Delta, Pennsylvania. Family members remarked that she loved cooking, canning, baking, and caring for her family. She was known to enjoy reading magazines, possessed a quiet spirit and she could light up a room with her bright smile.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Trinity AME Zion Church, 1006 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with her pastor, Reverend Jonnie Snipes officiating.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2005 from 7-9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania and on Monday, August 22, 2005 from 10-11AM at the church.

Interment will be in the Clarks United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2001 Kalmia Road, Bel Air, Maryland.

Pallbearers will be Howard Marshall, Howard Robinson, Jr., DeNard Johnson, Darren Robinson, John Paylor, and Frank Jenkins.
