JEAN WHEELER HUSKIN, 96 of Littlestown, PA, passed away in the late hours of Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Homewood Plum Creek, Hanover, PA. Married for 59 years at the time of his death, she was the beloved wife of John Trowbridge Huskin who died in May of 2010.

Born on May 13, 1928 in Cardiff, Harford County, MD, she was one of two daughters born to the late John Milford Wheeler and Dorothy Mildred (Heaps) Wheeler. Jean grew up in Delta, PA and then pursued her education at Grove City College, Grove City, PA graduating with a Bachelor Degree in 1949. Jean taught school for a brief time until she became a full time wife and mother. Jean took great pride in caring for the family home and for the children. She was a talented seamstress, exceptional cook, an avid reader and exhibited great patience as well as determination when working with her crafts. Along with her late husband, sailing the Chesapeake Bay was a favorite pastime on their boat, Husler" where she was known as the first mate. A longtime member of Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed being in the company of her church family. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and dear friend, Jean's gentle spirit and kind heart will be missed.

Alison Peterson (Lynn) of Altoona, PA

John T. Huskin, Jr. of Baltimore, MD

Twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Wheeler Hoke in August of 2009.

Services will be private with burial next to her beloved husband in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.
