JESSE G. FOX, age 79 years, of Darlington, MD died at his home on Saturday, November 08, 2008. He was the husband of Janelle (Anderson) Fox . They were married for 10 years.

Mr. Fox was born on May, 25 1929 in Marion, Va, a son of the late John E. and Elizabeth A. (Ingram) Fox. Jesse graduated in 1948 from the former Dublin High School. He owned and operated Fox Painting & Body Shop for 32 years until he retired in 1993. He was a bus driver for Harford County Public schools for many years. Mr. Fox was a member of Stephenson Lodge #135 AF & AM in Darlington, MD where he was a 32nd degree Mason. Jesse was a well known fast pitch softball pitcher playing the game for over 40 years until he was 65. He treasured his 1962 Chevy, loved his puppy Lady Baby and enjoyed life to the fullest.

In addition to his wife he is survived by:

2 sons- Larry S. Fox of Darlington, MD and Michael J. Fox of New Holland, PA

3 daughters- Sandra L. Slade and Patty L. Thompson both of Darlington, MD and Kathy A. Taylor of Galax, VA

Sister- Stella Burns and 2 brothers Clarence & John Fox- all of Darlington, MD

25 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

4 step children- Sylvia Thomas, Rodney Anderson, Emory Anderson and Linda Gilotte

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Emma (Hall) Fox and a great granddaughter Samantha Coale and a step son Paul E. Anderson

His home care nurse and dear friend Sue Pritt.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, Nov 12 at 11 AM at Franklin Baptist Church, 2106 Franklin Church Rd., Darlington, MD with a visitation for 1 hour prior to the service. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 7-9 PM at the church. Burial will be in Darlington Cemetery.
