Jessie L. Blankenship, age 82 of Darlington, MD died on Wednesday, June 8 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. She was the wife of the late Bervin Blankenship who died in 1973.

Mrs. Blankenship was born in Friars Hill, West Virginia a daughter of the late Golden and Sylvia (Cochran) Underwood. She worked for many years at the former Bata Shoe Co. She loved crocheting. Mrs. Blankenship was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by 6 children- Rosie Mullins of Ohio, - William Blankenship of Norrisville, MD, - Roy Blankenship of Forest Hill, MD, - Patricia Wells of Colora, MD, -Martha Poole of Rising Sun, MD and Michael Blankenship of Perryville, MD.

1 sister- Audrey Scott of Greenwood, W. VA

18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by 1 son Carl Blankenship.

Funeral service will be on Monday, June 13 at 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM.

Burial will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
