Joey P. Blackwell, age 56 years of Pylesville, MD died on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD.

Joey was born in North Carolina on August 29, 1958 a son of the late Charlie P. Blackwell and Allie Katherine (Harris) Blackwell Honaker. He was employed at Green Marble Recycling in Cardiff, MD for the past several years. Joey enjoyed fishing and was known to always be available to help people.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Baker and her husband, Bill of Delta, PA

He was preceded in death by his son, Joey Blackwell.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Pastor Ray Powers will officiate.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA

Viewing will be at the funeral home on Monday evening, September 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
