JOHANNA M. COX, age 73 years, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in her home in Delta, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Samuel J. Cox who died in 1998.

Mrs. Cox was born on July 31, 1934 in Biloxi, Mississippi; she was a daughter of the late Hugh A. and Dorothy (Endt) Cherry. While living in the Lutherville area of Baltimore County, Maryland, she was a high school science teacher for eleven years working in Baltimore City Schools. She moved to Delta approximately eight years ago and became a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish in Pylesville, Maryland. She enjoyed working with ceramics, watching movies at home and at the theater. She also loved to cook and watching cooking shows on television.

Dee Cox and Cherry Cox, both of Delta, Pennsylvania

A grandson, Brandon White of Delta, Pennsylvania.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1021 St. Mary's Road, Pylesville, Maryland.

A visitation will be held at the church just prior to the Mass from 9:30 till 10 AM.

Reverend Paul Henry will be the celebrant.

Entombment will be held at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 East Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland on Monday afternoon. Deacon Joe Krysiac will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Richard Baldwin, Tyler Baldwin, William Hutchinson, Chris Warne, Christopher Warne, Matthew Warne and Philip Warne.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sheppard Pratt Hospital, 6501 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21285 in memory of Johanna Cox.
