JOHN E. REHEARD, SR., age 77 years of New Tazewell, TN, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell, TN. He was the husband of Betty Reheard.

Born March 23, 1936 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Ernest and Rose Ellen (Boothe) Reheard and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Reheard had been a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church where he was active in many of the church's outreach ministries.

Reverend John E. Reheard, Jr. and his wife, Michele S. of Perry Hall, MD

Marie Swearingen and her husband, Terry of Delta, PA

Richard Reheard and his wife, Michele R. of Gettysburg, PA

Seven grandchildren: Amber Sullivan, Basil Reheard, Robin Reheard, Mackenzie Reheard, Aaron Reheard, Caleb Reheard and Justin Gorman.

Three great grandchildren

Two brothers-

Robert Reheard of Kenosha, WI

James Reheard of Airville, PA

Two sisters-

Pearl Holloway and Verna Holmes, both of Airville, PA

And a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: a brother-Jerry Reheard, a sister-Kathy Wilkinson and a grandson in law-Nathaniel Sullivan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

His son, Reverend John E. Reheard, Jr. will officiate.

Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Delta, PA.
