JOHN J. HERBST, Jr., age 49 years of Windsor, PA died at York Hospital on Monday, September 2, 2013. He was the husband of Betty (nee Updike) Harrison Herbst. They observed their 8th wedding anniversary on July 23.

John was born in York on July 5, 1964 a son of the late John J. and Mary (Force) Herbst. A lifetime resident of York County, he graduate from Eastern York High School in 1982. John retired from York County in 2005. He was a member of Riverside Lodge #503, F&AM, Wrightsville, PA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 11:00 am at the Windsor Assembly of God, 21 N. Penn Street, Windsor, PA
