John J. Hoffmaster, age 91 years of Delta, PA died at Memorial Hospital, York, PA on Friday, October 1. He was the husband of the late E. Marguerite (Barnett) Hoffmaster who died on March 30, 1996.

Mr. Hoffmaster was born on Sept. 19, 1919 in Airville, PA a son of the late Jacob and Minnie Mae (Andrews) Hoffmaster. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Mr. Hoffmaster served in the US Army during World War 2 and was a member of Slate Ridge American Legion Post # 182.

He was an electrician working for many years for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Previously he was employed as a lathe operator at Red Lion Cabinet Company.

He is survived by a daughter- Melodye A. Parlett and her husband James of Airville, PA.

1 son- John J. Hoffmaster Jr. of Delta, PA

1 grandson - James Parlett of Airville, PA.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 11 AM at Salem United Methodist Church, 5042 Delta Rd., Delta, PA with Mr. Richard J. Sharrock , C.L.M. officiating. Visitation will be at the church for 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial with Military Honors by the York County Honor Guard will be at McKendree Cemetery, Airville, PA.
