Obituary

JOSEPH EARL WILLIAMS, JR., 79 of Dallastown, PA, died in his home on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Married for over 50 years, he was the beloved husband of Mildred D. (Bond) Williams. Mildred devoted her life in caring for her husband in their family home for over 10 years.

Born on February 23, 1944 in Rising Sun, MD, he was a son of the late Joseph Earl Williams, Sr. and Mabel (Miles) Williams. Mr. Williams served with the United States Army for two years with one year of that time in the Korean War. While in Korea, he suffered an injury to his back that gave his trouble the rest of his life.

Joe drove a truck for local deliveries and long distance hauling for many years. He also had worked for the Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant for 12 years and was known as a "Jack of All Trades" with the ability to do just about anything. His family remarked that he was a dedicated worker even though his back troubled him the entire time. He adored his family and was a loving provider for them. He had a jolly spirit, kind heart and attended Tabernacle Regular Baptist Church with his wife in Brogue, PA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

Three children - John Tyson, Tamy (Jason) Campbell and Shari Williams

Three siblings – Josephine Caudill, Katherine Heaps and Kenneth Williams
