JUDITH C. HAMMONS, 80 of Delta, PA passed away in the morning of Saturday, February 22, 2025 in her home. She was the loving wife for 60 years of Donald Eugene Hammons.

Born on February 4, 1945 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was one of three children born to the late Arthur William DeVoe and Leffie Rosalie (Sheets) DeVoe. Judy graduated from Bel Air High School and had worked as a teacher for special needs students for many years. She also was the in charge of the cafeteria at the Rock Spring Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and later was a house cleaner for numerous homes. She was a past member of William Watters Memorial United Methodist Church in Jarrettsville, MD. Judy was very fond of the QVC online shopping, loved to have lunch and shopping dates with her sister and had enjoyed family vacations to Ocean City, MD. She was known to have a 'sweet tooth" and her favorite treat was a Milky Way Bar. Sitting on the back porch watching the birds with her husband brought her much joy.

A sister, Nancy Thomas of Jarrettsville, MD

Three grandsons-Ryan S. Hammons, Aaron M. Hammons and Derek C. Hammons

She was preceded in death by her young brother, Norman Arthur DeVoe.

Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA with a viewing from 11 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. followed immediately with the funeral at noon. Mr. John Ruger and Pastor Mark Rudd will co-officiate. Interment to follow in Fawn Grove Cemetery.
