Obituary

Karen Sue Hurt, 61, of Delta, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and will miss her more than words can express.

Karen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose family was the center of her world. She found her greatest happiness in the simple joys of life, especially spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved spoiling her husband and grandbabies, making memories with her family, playing bingo, and putting together puzzles. Whether she was enjoying a little friendly competition at bingo or working on a puzzle, Karen cherished the moments that brought her happiness and allowed her to enjoy life's little pleasures.

Above all else, Karen's grandchildren were her pride and joy. They held a special place in her heart, and spoiling them was one of her favorite things to do. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and the memories she created with them will be treasured for years to come. Her presence brought something special to the lives of those who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being part of her life.

Karen leaves behind her loving husband, James Hurt; her daughter, Morgan Vallejo (Hurt), and son-in-law, Ruddy Vallejo; her son, Chris Hurt, and daughter-in-law, Lauren Hurt (Berger); and her beloved grandchildren, Easton, William, Ember, and Natalia, who were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Brian Miller, J.R. Miller, Step- Father Ross Blake, Step Sister Leisa Miller, along with other family members and loved ones who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Blake; her father, Gerald Miller; and her brother, Glen Miller.

Though Karen's time with her loved ones has come to an end, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the special place she holds in the hearts of her family will never fade. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.

She will be remembered with love, missed beyond words, and cherished always. Forever loved, never forgotten. Services will be held at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church 4263 Delta Road,  Airville, Pennsylvania, 17302 October 30, 2026 from 6pm-9pm.
