KENNETH A. BELCHER, age 62 years, died on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in his home in Darlington, Maryland. He was the husband of Robin D. (Schwartz) Belcher with whom he had shared 18 years of marriage.
Born on October 15, 1948 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he was a son of Frances (Crouse) Martin of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania and the late Aaron B. Belcher. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a corpsman. He was employed as a Physician's Assistant for the past 35 years at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Belcher enjoyed fishing, genealogy and baseball. He was the Sunday School teacher for new converts at Franklin Missionary Baptist Church in Darlington, Maryland. Mr. Belcher was very fond of his cat, Lovey.
He is survived by his step-father, Ed Martin of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania
Four sisters and loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory A. Belcher on March 16, 1997.
Visitations will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will military honors presented by the United States Naval Honor Guard will be in Dublin Southern Cemetery, Darlington, Maryland.
