KENNETH A. (Kenny) BENNINGTON, 78 years of Darlington, MD, died on Wednesday July 22, 2015. Born on June 26, 1937 in Peach Bottom Township, PA, he was a son of the late Elmer and Sadie (Frasch) Bennington and the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Bennington.

Graduating from North Harford High School in 1955, Kenny enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as an MP while stationed in Korea. Following his service, he had worked as a Maintenance Assistant at the Muddy Run Power Plant before retiring 10 years ago.

He is survived by:

Two stepsons-

Al Schiavi and his wife, Ann

Larry Schiavi and his wife, Judy

Five Bennington brothers-

Larry and his wife, Mary; Dennis and his wife, Terry; Dave, Gary and Philip

Four sisters-

Betty McCleary; Patricia Porch and her husband, Bob; Dawn Johnson and her husband, Richard; Linda Fox and her husband, Larry

Eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bennington, the late husband of Vicky and a stepdaughter, Linda Schiavi Nalbone.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed immediately with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery with military honors.
