KENNETH E. SWEIGERT, age 54 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania, formerly of Annville, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 4:35 PM at his home. He was the husband of Barbara (Massar) Sweigert and they shared twenty-nine years of marriage.

Mr. Sweigert was born on March 3, 1952 in Annville, Pennsylvania and was one of the seven children of Harvey E. and Helen (Sanders) Sweigert of Annville.

Mr. Sweigert moved from his hometown to the lower York County area ten years ago. He worked at Sparrows Point in Baltimore, Maryland and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. In addition to the Baltimore employment, he was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, working on cars, spending time with his two dogs and doing handyman work. He enjoyed socializing with his friends, neighbors, co-workers and family.

Dolly M. Heist of Annville

Sixteen nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers-Terry L. Sweigert and Jonathan Sweigert.

A memorial visitation will be held at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta on Saturday morning August 5, 2006 from 10 AM until noon.
