Lawrence Benedict "Larry" Kastner, born on October 3, 1946, passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2026. Larry was the beloved husband of Marta Markline Kastner, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and countless cherished memories. He was the proud grandfather and "Poppy" to Kaelynn & Austin Castro, Madison Loveland, Lillee Moore, and his treasured great-grandson, Asher Benjamin. He was also a loving stepfather to Kara Moore.

Larry is also survived by his extended family, including Jim and Karen Duhala, Jessica and Mike Houde, and Jimmy Duhala. He was preceded in death by his father, Benedict Charles Kastner; his mother, Marie Anna Tusek Kastner; and his sister, Dorothy Marie Kastner.

Larry dedicated an extraordinary 53 years to the same company as it evolved through several names: Smith-Hoover, Koppers, United Container, and ultimately BW Paper Systems.

Larry was a gun enthusiast, an avid deer hunter and the only surviving founding member of Dusty Antler Hunt Club who hunted on the Eastern Shore. He had many fond memories of this time spent with his club members and friends he made while at the shore.

Larry will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his kind heart, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the love he shared so generously.
