LENA ELLEN STOGDON, age 92 years, of Whiteford, MD went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD after a sudden brief illness.

Lena was born on May 14, 1919 in Renick, WV to the late George W. and Mary L. (Williams) Morrison. She had worked at the former Bata Shoe Company and the former Glen Eagles Sewing Company. Mrs. Stogdon was a longtime member of Conowingo Baptist Church and loved flower gardening.

Stephen R. Bostic and his wife, Theresa of Fancy Gap, VA

21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters.

Her niece and dear friend, Janalee Hammons of Pylesville, MD

Many additional loving family members and friends.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred W. Stogdon, children-Elizabeth L. and Gerald L. Bostic, eighteen siblings and first husband, Olen Bostic

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Conowingo Baptist Church, 151 Rock Springs Road, Conowingo, MD.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. just prior to the funeral service at the church.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
