LEROY DWIGHT BAUGUS, age 88 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Evon Baugus.

Mr. Baugus was born on May 15, 1919 in Glade Valley, North Carolina a son of the late Bryant and Ennice (McCann) Baugus. Dwight worked for the Southern States Coop. at their former Whiteford, Maryland location for 11 years. He was a former Master of the Grange in Fawn Grove and Delta in addition to being a Gideon. He was a member and former deacon of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air, MD. He enjoyed transporting the Amish, helping his family and friends as well as working tasks with his hands.

Two sons-

Albert Baugus and his wife, Wanda of Denton, Maryland

Alec Baugus and his wife, Thelma of Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren

A sister, Ruby Massey and her husband, Grover of Goldsboro, North Carolina

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7th at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 206 E. Courtland Street, Bel Air, Maryland 21014.

His pastor, Dr. Allen Carter will officiate.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Visitations will be held on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, Pennsylvania and one hour prior to the service at the church.
