LOUISE G. AMALFITANO, age 64 years, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in her Brogue home. She was the wife of Thomas V. Amalfitano with whom she had shared 44 years of marriage.

Born on June 22, 1949 in Somers Point, NJ, she was a daughter of John and Beatrice (Mawson) Serfi. A 1967 graduate of Midland High School in Somers Point, she continued her education to become a certified nursing assistant. Mrs. Amalfitano had worked for the former Leaders Nursing Home, also Manor Care Health Services, Rest Haven - York and Colonial Manor Nursing Center, all in York County. She enjoyed working on the farm and tending her flower beds as well as visiting the main campus of Penn State in State College. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and loved spoiling her grandchildren.

Mrs. Amalfitano had attended Goram Baptist Church in Brogue.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

A son, John T. Amalfitano and her his wife, Kendra of Brogue

Three grandchildren – Isabella, Toby and Jayden Amalfitano

Two brothers - Thomas Luker of Pleasantville, NJ and Charles Luker of Somers Point, NJ

One sister - Lilyan Evans of Bridgeton, NJ

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas V. Amalfitano, III on June 29, 1991.

Services will be held on 2:00 p.m. ,Wednesday, June 25th at Guinston Presbyterian Church, 14130 Guinston Forge Road, Airville, PA 17302 with Pastor Jason Keenan of Goram Baptist Church presiding.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Guinston Building Fund, at the above address.
