Lynelle Patricia Merryman, age 44 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 6 2014. Lynn's life was one of service to others.

Lynelle was a member of Citizens Volunteer Fire Company in Fawn Grove where she served as the secretary for several years. She was also a member of Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company in Whiteford, MD. Lynn graduated from North Harford High School in 1988 where she served as the class treasurer and was active in the chorus. She was also a graduate of Millersville University with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. She worked as a Special Education teacher for Harford County Public Schools and also at The Highlands School where she touched many lives with her smile and love for life. She was devoted to her dogs, Lexi, Maxwell and Ruby.

Lynn resided in Fawn Grove, PA and grew up on her family's farm in Whiteford, Maryland where her parents still reside. She is survived by her beloved and devoted father and stepmother, Dr. Donald W. and Joy Hoge Merryman. She was predeceased by her mother, the late Patsy Miller Merryman. She is also survived by sister Cheryl Merryman Ambrose and husband, Jeffrey of Owings, MD; brother Bryan Carey Merryman and his wife. Sandra of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister Maury Merryman Thackston and husband, Brent of Street, MD; stepbrother Scott Nicholson Hoge and his wife, Jan of Haymarket, VA; stepsister Marcia Hoge Hart and her husband, Jeffrey of Valrico, FL. She is survived by nine nieces and nephews, and one great niece. Lynn is also survived by many friends throughout her community.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Lynn's life at a funeral service to be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Fawn United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 67 South Market Street, Fawn Grove, PA 17321.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
