M. KATHERINE ADAMS, age 75 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Monday, March 9, 2009 in her home. She was the wife of John D. Adams, Sr. who died in 2003.

Born on April 14, 1933 in Pylesville, Maryland, she was the daughter of Mary (DeVoe) Deickman of Baltimore, Maryland and the late Frank Deickman. She lived in Baltimore before residing in Delta for the past fifty-six years. Retiring in 2003 from the Musser Market, she had worked in the bakery and deli departments for fifteen years. She attended the Evangelical Methodist Church in Street, Maryland, loved gardening and enjoyed flowers. Her family brought her great joy.

She is survived by:

Two children-

John D. Adams, Jr. and his companion, Betty Harrington of Windsor, Pennsylvania

Susan M. Becker and her husband, Jim of Red Lion, Pennsylvania

Five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four nephews and a niece

She was preceded in death by her brother, David Deickman.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 7 - 9 PM and on Friday morning from 10 - 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

The funeral service will begin at 11AM on Friday with Reverend Dr. John E. McKnight of the Evangelical Methodist Church, Street, Maryland officiating.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.
