Obituary

MABEL MAE WILLIAMS, age 87 years, of York, Pennsylvania died on Friday, December 14, 2007 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Williams, Sr. who died in 1970.

Mrs. Williams was born on January 10, 1920 in New Providence, Pa; she was a daughter of the late Roy and Mary K. (Wright) Miles. She had lived in the Bryansville area, Stewartstown and Shrewsbury until approximately one year ago when she moved to Pine Manor in York. Mrs. Williams worked for Nurses Unlimited and Quality Care from 1983 as a home care nurse until she retired in 1993. She was a member of Turnpike Baptist Church of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania since 1997.

Mrs. Williams enjoyed traveling, reading and listening to gospel music. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by:

Four children-

M. Josephine Caudill, and her husband Dallas of Airville, Pennsylvania

Kathryn I. Heaps, and her husband, Walter of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania

James E. Williams, Jr. and his wife, Mildred. of Red Lion, Pennsylvania

Kenneth L. Williams and his wife, Lynette of Gatchellville, Pennsylvania

Two sisters-

Elsie L. Murray of Millersville, Pennsylvania

Helen M. Ream of Columbia, Pennsylvania

12 grandchildren

17 great grandchildren

6 great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph E. Williams, III, two great granddaughters: Sara Glass and Rebecca Glass and a brother, Paul W. Miles.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta. Viewing from 10 till 11 AM with the funeral service beginning at 11 AM.

Reverend William Walker of Turnpike Baptist Church will officiate.

Interment will be in Bryansville Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Pallbearers will be Zachery Williams, Andrew Williams, W. Nathan Heaps, Joseph Caudill, Jay Dee Caudill, Sr.; James D. Caudill, Jeffrey L. Tyson and Johnny Tyson.
