MAE "Penny" EWELL, age 91 years, formerly of Fawn Grove, PA died on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10:51 p.m. at the Shrewsbury Lutheran Home in Shrewsbury, PA. She was the wife of William Paul Ewell who died on August 7, 1999.

Mrs. Ewell was born in Canebrake, VA on June 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Milton L. and Laura (Sparks) Hankins. A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, bowling, attending church events and spending time with her family. She had attended the Belview Baptist Church, Delta and the Delta Senior Center.

Mrs. Ewell is survived by:

One daughter: Linda Malstrom, and husband David of Baltimore, MD

Two step-sons: Richard Bowman, and wife Mary of Perry Hall, MD

Joseph Bowman, and wife Paula of Essex, MD

Three grandchildren: Moira, Chelsea and Sean Malstrom

She was preceded in death by her step-son, David Bowman.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fawn Grove, PA.
