Obituary

Margaret Louise McKinley Dunlap, 88, of Easton, Maryland, died on Friday, February 22, 2008, at William Hill Manor, Easton, Maryland.

Born in Whiteford, Maryland on August 27, 1919, Mrs. Dunlap was the daughter of the late Samuel Russell McKinley and Margaret Wayne McKinley. She was a 1936 graduate of Slate Ridge High School and later attended business school in York, PA. She was married to Idris Dunlap who died on 12/29/96. They made their home in Delta, PA until moving to Easton in 1979.

Mrs. Dunlap began employment with Philadelphia Electric Co. in the late 1950's as a clerk in their Delta office. In 1963 she was transferred to Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant to be administrative assistant to the plant superintendent where she remained until her retirement in 1975.

She was a former member of Slateville Presbyterian Church, Delta, PA and, since moving to Easton, a member of Easton Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Talbot County unit of the Easton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Talbot County Women's Club, played bridge in numerous groups, and was an expert knitter.

Mrs. Dunlap is survived by her daughter, Jennifer D. Yost and her husband, Philip, of Denton; two grandsons, Ryan G. Yost and Jennifer, his wife, of Denton; and Nathan A. Yost and Cindy, his wife, of Preston, MD; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas G. Yost and Allison E. Yost, of Denton; one sister, Jean M. Delp, of Whiteford, MD; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Olive M. Pyle and Betty M. Ulrich.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 at Slateville Presbyterian Church, Delta. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Officiating will be the pastor, Reverend Carletta R. Curley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easton Presbyterian Church, 617 N. Washington St., Easton, MD 21601; or to Slateville Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 657, Delta, PA 17314.
