Margaret Sagner Jones, age 93 of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Street, MD died on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at The Pines of Sarasota. She was the wife of Wilbert C. Jones who died on October 11, 1979.

Mrs. Jones was born on December 16, 1915 in Honeybrook, PA a daughter of the late Martin W. and Mary (Aberts) Sagner. She was a 1933 graduate of Highland High School in Street, MD and was later the cafeteria manager at Highland Elementary School for many years. She retired in 1978 from D & D Sewing Co. in Delta. Mrs. Jones moved to Sarasota in 1980 where she was active with the Meals on Wheels program. Her church membership was with the First Baptist Church in Sarasota.

Mrs. Jones is survived by:

One daughter: Elaine J. Edmondson and her husband Farrell of Sarasota

One son: W. Wayne Jones and his wife Pat of Pasadena, MD

Also five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Pastor Gayle Ryle, retired from Bethel Baptist Church, Wilmington, DE will officiate.

Interment will follow at Emory Cemetery, Street, MD.

The visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
