MARGARET E. MILLER, age 94 years of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 4:03 p.m. at York Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas J. Miller who died on April 8, 1987.

Mrs. Miller was born in Pylesville, Maryland on October 16, 1914 a daughter of the late John Thomas and Josephine (Duncan) McCallister. She worked as a seamstress at the former Fawn Grove Manufacturing Co. for 26 years. Mrs. Miller was a longtime member of the Bryansville United Methodist Church.

For the previous 3 years, she resided at Broadmore Assisted Living in York. Mrs. Miller loved her family and she loved sewing. Her family members are all recipients of lovingly handmade afghans and quilts.

She is survived by:

One son: Thomas J. Miller, Jr. of Whiteford, Maryland

Two daughters: Ruth M. Hash of Red Lion, Pennsylvania

Mary Margaret Wright and her husband Donald of Red Lion

Two brothers: Charles H. McCallister and J. Edward McCallister, both of Airville, Pennsylvania

Also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister; Cora Jane Kilburn, her brothers; John W. McCallister, Charles Famous McCallister and Delmer Sanders McCallister and her half brothers; Granville McCallister and Curtis McCallister.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Her pastor, Reverend Judy L. Walker will officiate.

Interment will be in Bryansville Cemetery, Delta.

Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.
