IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret M.

TRIBUTE WRITTEN BY HER FAMILY-
Mom's life was filled with challenges. It seems she was always being tested throughout her life. Mom experienced 5 losses before giving birth to a live child. Many would have given up. Not Mom, with perseverance and faith in God, she ended up with four of us. Occasionally, that number would go higher as Mom would take in someone in temporary need of a home. Many times, things were tough. At one time, she worked 3 jobs in attempt to make ends meet. My siblings and I gave her quite a few challenges (I won't list these).
Mom lost her 1st husband, my father, in 1993. It was extremely difficult for her. Through it all, she remained steadfast in her belief in God. Mom loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Mom has worn many hats throughout the years. She joined the work force at the age of 10. She operated an elevator in the Bromo Seltzer building in Baltimore. She has worked in a peanut butter factory, a bakery, a coffee machine factory, a hospital, a telephone solicitation office, a bus company, a restaurant, and as a caregiver and companion to name a few. Mom's education was limited but as with all of her other challenges, she overcame it. In the early years of her marriage, Dad and her would conduct spelling bees and play other "games" so that she could satisfy her thirst for knowledge.
One of her proudest accomplishments was becoming the vice president of her company's union. She traveled to Washington as a delegate for her union. In a huge room filled with several thousand people, Mom stood up and very knowledgeably delivered a wonderful speech which was met with thunderous applause. We were so proud of her.
Of all of her jobs, her favorites were driving the van for the senior center of Delta and being a caregiver/companion to several people in our community. She made some very valuable, lasting friendships here in Delta. Mom was originally from Baltimore, but her home and her heart was here in Delta.
Mom enjoyed her friends from the Lions club and her Pinochle group. You knew Mom was not feeling well if she missed her Pinochle game. She enjoyed being a choir member at Bryansville United Methodist Church and displayed her acting talents in several of the church plays. Mom, Melinda and I enjoyed many a yard sale together. We would often go shopping together as well.
One of Mom's favorite places to go was The Trading Post. She met many people there, including her current husband, Jim. Mom was so excited when she told us about Jim. It was good to see the sparkle in her eyes return. When Mom married Jim, she gained a lot more friends and family. Mom enjoyed Jim's family immensely, especially Bert and Bill.
Mom had 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was very proud of them and loved them all very much. Amongst her grandchildren she was "Mee Mom", '"Pool Mom", "Grand Mom" and "Mom Mom".
Mom has definitely left her imprint on many people. She will be greatly missed. With the passing of my mother I have also lost my friend. We were fortunate to have shared a lot of time together but it is never enough. It is a comfort to know that she is in Heaven and her challenges in life are over. I envision her being reunited with my father, the children that she lost; her sister and many other loved ones in Heaven.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 25th at Bryansville United Methodist Church with interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
Her minister, Pastor Judy Walker officiated.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church c/o Kerry Ciborowski, 2788 Bryansville Road, Delta, PA 17314.
