Marian E. Whiteford Boyer died on Monday, October 21, 2013 of heart failure at the Charlestown Retirement Community, Baltimore, MD.

Born and raised in Whiteford, MD the daughter of Henry Campbell Whiteford, and Nona Parks Whiteford, Mrs. Boyer graduated from the former Slate Ridge H.S. and later from McDaniel College formerly known as Western Maryland College in Westminster, MD. Her only sister Carolyn Whiteford Hanna, died in 2002.

After earning her college degree, she worked for the State of Maryland where she met and married Edwin R. Boyer (1950 – 63 years of marriage) and later had three children.

She lived in Baltimore her post college life where she and her husband enjoyed raising three children and spent her free time with her many friends from college and new ones from Baltimore.

A Catonsville resident, she enjoyed her summers and weekends on the Chesapeake Bay, boating and entertaining.

Ms. Boyer is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edwin R. Boyer, Jr. and three sons; Edwin R. Boyer III (Nancy) of Lutherville, MD, Henry C.W. Boyer (Kim) of Des Peres, MO and W. Scott Boyer of Towson, MD and seven grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Reverend James B. Shuler of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church will officiate.
