MARVIN C. DOSS, age 87 years, of Whiteford, Maryland died on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the husband of Ruth B. (Cutlip) Doss and they shared sixty-nine years of marriage.

Mr. Doss was born on July 1, 1920 in Hillsboro, West Virginia; he was a son of the late William H. and Zilphie (Parish) Doss. While living in West Virginia, he worked as a miner for the United Coal Miners Association with the Glogoria Company for ten years. He later moved to the Abingdon area of Harford County before moving to Whiteford, where he had lived for the past thirty years. He was a member of the North Harford Baptist Church in Jarrettsville, Maryland. He enjoyed gardening and cutting wood.

Naomi Anders and her husband, Buddy Roger of Whiteford, Maryland

Marvin Dale Doss and his wife, Karen of Koea, Colorado

Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren

A brother, Paul Doss and his wife, Betsy of Hillsboro, West Virginia

Numerous loving nieces and nephews

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 6 to 9 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at North Harford Baptist Church, 4008 Old Federal Hill Road, Jarrettsville, Maryland 21084.

His pastor, Reverend John W. Manry will officiate.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Harford Baptist Church Youth Group at the above address.

Pallbearers will be Joe Doss, Joe Pressell, Robin Cutlip, Greg Kastina, Brian Thomas and Brian Anders.
