Mary Catherine Duncan Sparks, 91 of Niota, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in her residence.

A native of Pylesville, MD and longtime resident of McMinn County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Otho and Emma (List) Duncan and was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jesse James Sparks. Mary was a member of Woodbine Believers Assembly in Woodbine, PA.

She is survived by:

A daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Roger Harrington of Red Lion, PA.

Four sons and three daughters-in-law,

Robert and Phyllis Sparks of Niota, TN

James A. and Dona Sparks of Brogue, PA.

Donald and Cindy Sparks of Red Lion, PA.

George Sparks of Brogue, PA.

Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be 2 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Brother Mitchell Wright officiating. The family will receive friends 12-2 pm at the funeral home.

Services in Pennsylvania will be held in Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a viewing from 11 to 12 p.m. followed immediately with a graveside service in Union Chapel Cemetery, Slab Road, Delta, PA with Reverend James A. Baldwin of Woodbine Believers Assembly officiating.

Funeral staff will be assisting with parking and handicap needs during the viewing and funeral service.
