MARY ELLEN HYATT, 61 years of Fawn Grove, PA, died on Thursday, October 29, 2015 in her home. Married on August 4, 1973, she and her husband, John L. Hyatt, Sr. had shared 42 years of marriage.

Born on November 25, 1953 in Sunbury, PA, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Betty (Hare) Cook and a 1972 graduate of Kenwood High School in Essex, MD. A certified nursing assistant, Mrs. Hyatt had worked for the Shrewsbury Lutheran Homes and for Memorial Hospital in York, PA. She was known as a devoted wife and mother in addition to being a very active supporter of cancer fundraisers and causes.

She is also survived by:

John L. Hyatt, Jr., and his wife, Carissa of Drayden, MD

Tina Hyatt and her partner, Jason Gray of New Freedom, PA

Jason Hyatt and his wife, Lauren of Delta, PA

Two grandchildren-

Constance Hyatt and Zachery Hyatt

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed immediately with the funeral service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Pastor Beth R. Holz of The Peach Bottom Charge will officiate.

There will not be any public inurnment services.
