Mary Harry Davis Heaps, age 86 years of Street, MD, formerly of Dunellen, NJ, died on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Hart Heritage Estate, Street, MD. She was the wife of the late Reverend Henry Wallace Heaps.

Mrs. Heaps was born on April 10, 1926 in Street, MD, a daughter of the late George Harry and Estelle (Scarborough) Davis. She was educated in Harford County, MD schools and was a graduate of the University of Maryland. She was a teacher and speech therapist, working in New Jersey and Maryland. Mrs. Heaps was an avid Christian educator, had a lovely singing voice, played the piano and was always reading.

Central to her life were her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Heaps spent her life supporting her husband in his ministry and dedicated her life to serving God.

She is survived by 3 sons

Donald D. Heaps of Street, MD

David C. Heaps of Lloyd, FL

Wilson A. Heaps of Pylesville, MD.

9 grandchildren- Matthew Henry Heaps, Danielle Dorothy Heaps, Sarah Barclay Heaps, Brandon Christopher Heaps, Brittany Baron Heaps, Harry Davis Heaps, Belle Naomi Heaps, Anna McLenden Heaps and Marilee Scarborough Heaps

Her loving cousin, Evelyn Shaw Kramer.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons: Henry Wallace Heaps Jr., Jonathan B. Heaps and her brother Donald Stubbs.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Highland Presbyterian Church, 701 Highland Road, Street, MD. Visitations will be at the church on Friday, November 9th from 6:00-8:00 PM and for 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in Highland Church Cemetery.
