MARY ELLEN KEENEY, age 73 years of Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania died at her home on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. She was the wife of Walter Keeney, Jr. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary on August 29, 2011.

Mrs. Keeney was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 5, 1938 a daughter of the late Robert Leftridge and Minnie Elizabeth (Almony) Greene. She was employed as a secretary for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, from which she retired.

Jeffrey Keeney and his wife Lori of Darlington, MD

One daughter: Joyce Keeney of Ft. Loudon, PA

Six grandchildren:Renee Kehler of Idaho, Faith Teel of North Carolina, Joshua Keeney of Virginia Krystle Keeney of Nevada, Jeffrey Keeney, II currently serving in the U.S. Navy and Donny Keeney of Maryland.

Two great grandchildren: Nathan and Daisy Keeney of Virginia

Two brothers:

Robert A. Greene of New Park, PA

Ronald D. Greene of Fallston, MD

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m.

Cremation will follow.
