MARY MARIE SEYMOUR, age 86 years, of Whiteford, Maryland died on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Madonna Heritage in Jarrettsville, Maryland. She was the wife of Vernon Seymour who died in 1977.

Mrs. Seymour was born on April 3, 1922 in Ennice, North Carolina; she was a daughter of the late George Thomas and Lelia (Murphy) Poole. Moving from North Carolina at a young age, she had lived in the area for over seventy-four years. She was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and growing flowers.

She is survived by:

Thomas O'Dell Seymour of Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Elmo Terry Seymour of Whiteford, Maryland

Nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren

A sister, Norma Jean Ifom of Galax, Virginia

Three brothers-

Bobby Poole of Whiteford, Maryland

Velt Poole of Street, Maryland

Walter Poole of Broadway, North Carolina

Six step grandchildren in addition to many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Aurther Seymour in October , 2004.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 6 - 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta,

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 19th at 11 AM at the funeral home.

Reverend Melissa A. McDade of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Pylesville, Maryland will officiate.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, Maryland.
