MARY ELIZABETH "Betty" WILLIAMS, age 98 years of Delta, PA died at Shrewsbury Lutheran Village on Monday, September 22, 2008. She was the wife of Hermas Williams who died in 1975.

She was born in Cardiff, MD on July 16, 1910 a daughter of the late Griffith and Elizabeth (Williams) Griffith. She was a 1927 graduate of Delta High School and later of Millersville University. A teacher in Southeastern School District, she retired in 1968 after 39 years of service. She was a member of the Rehoboth Welsh Church having served as a trustee and Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a life member of the PA Retired Teachers' Association and the York County Retired Teachers' Association.

She is survived by:

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta.

Officiating will be her pastor, Reverend Richard Price Baskwill and Reverend Harry R. Robinson.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Interment in Slateville Cemetery, Delta.
