Mary Ellen Winzenried, 81, of Jarrettsville, MD, died on October 6, 2021 at Madonna Heritage Assisted Living. Mary Ellen was born on February 23, 1940 in Steubenville, OH, to the late Vernon and Mary (Moffat) Bjork. She was married to Jack Winzenried and together they shared 57 years of marriage.

Mary Ellen spent her life as a homemaker, supporting her husband and raising their children, a position she held in highest regard. She also volunteered for many years at New Life Center for Children and Mothers in Glen Rock, PA, a ministry that she believed in deeply. She loved the Lord and worshipped faithfully at North Harford Baptist Church since 1978.

In addition to her devoted and loving husband, Mary Ellen is survived by two children: Mark (Lynette) Winzenried and Tina (Randall) Wenger. She is also survived by one sister, Lucy (Larry) Eckstein. Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild will forever cherish memories of their grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was predeceased by one brother, Vernon (Ruth Ann) Dean and one sister, Elizabeth (Merlin) Watts.
