Matthew I. Kern, age 50 years , died on Friday, December 16 at his home. He was the husband of Sarah (Barr) O'Hearn Kern. They had been married for over 7 years.

Matt was born on January 26, 1961 in York, PA a son of Irvin E. and Doris E. (Badders) Kern of Street, MD. He owned and operated and home refurbishing and repair business named "Touch Up The Past". He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Matt attended Red Lion Bible Church. Matt loved helping people.

In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by:

A son- Christopher Kern

A daughter- Summer Strovel

Three sisters- Gwendolyn Felts, Sandra Reed and Pamela Andrews

A brother- Glenn Kern

Five grandchildren

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Steven A. Schmuck of the Red Lion Bible Church will officiate.
