MATTIE V. MORETZ, age 93 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at her home. She was the wife of the late Murray Rudolph Moretz who died on November 26, 1958.

Mrs. Moretz was born on December 9, 1912 in Independence, Virginia. She was a daughter of

the late Floyd and Hannah (Carico) Anders. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Mrs. Moretz enjoyed the outdoors and traveling.

She is survived by:

Three children-

Bonnie Witten of Delta, Pennsylvania

Harold L. Moretz of Churchville, Maryland

Bettie J. Jordan of Hollywood, Alabama

Twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren

A son, Gerald Moretz, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 from 6:00-8:00PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with the funeral service beginning at 7:30PM Reverend Ann Walker of Delta United Methodist Church will preside.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, Virginia .

Interment will follow the funeral at the Independence Cemetery, Independence, Virginia.
