MAYE K. MANN, age 86 years, formerly of York, Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Madonna Heritage, Inc. in Jarrettsville, Maryland.

Maye was born on September 9, 1921 in the Dublin area of Harford County, Maryland; she was a daughter of the late George M. and Mary (Morris) Knight. In 1938, she graduated from Dublin High School, in 1942 from Asbury College in Kentucky and received her Master's Degree at Penn State. She retired in 1986 after teaching at William Penn (York High) in York, Pennsylvania for thirty-eight years. She was a very active member of the NRTA (National Retired Teachers Association) and of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by:

A son, Tom Galbreath and his wife, Wanda of Evansville, Indiana

A daughter, Mary Jo Fitzpatrick of St. Louis, Missouri

Six grandchildren-

Scott Fitzpatrick of Houston, Texas

Lisa Stoker of Birmingham, England

Sean Galbreath of Seattle, Washington

Nedra Galbreath, Kendra Galbreath and Elizabeth Galbreath, all of El Dorado, Arkansas

Two great grandchildren-

Charlie and Jessica Stoker of Birmingham, England

Two brothers-

William Knight of Street, Maryland

Raymond Knight of Darlington, Maryland

A sister, Ruth Scarborough of Bel Air, Maryland

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Galbreath and five siblings: Hazel Koenig, Susan McElwain, Bertha Wagoner, Ella Durham and George Knight.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

The funeral service will follow beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor James Johnson of the Dublin United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Dublin United Methodist Cemetery, Street, Maryland.
