Melinda Sue “McAllister” Jones, 66, of Delta, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2026, following a lengthy illness. Born in Havre De Grace, Maryland, on October 6, 1959, she was a lifelong resident of Delta.

During the 1980s, Melinda worked at the Triple M Sub Shop and the food truck at the Peach Bottom Atomic Station. Afterward, she married Edward Jones Sr. of Delta, PA, and together they had two children.

Melinda valued her family and the connections they shared. She is survived by her children: her daughter, Amanda “Jones” Hensley, and her husband Derrick, along with her grandchildren Gene and Bailey; and her son, John Benjamin Jones, along with her grandchildren Carrie and John.

Additionally, she leaves behind her siblings: Maxine Moul and her husband Greg, Wayne McAllister, Bobby McAllister, and Brian McAllister and his wife Misty, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of Delta. The family extends their deep gratitude to Misty, Amber, Kristen, and Kaydence DeLong for their dedicated, long-term care.

Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Bertha McAllister, and her brother, Jimmy McAllister.

Interment services will be private. Family and friends are invited to please join the family for a Memorial and Celebration of Life, to be held at Molly Hill Farm, 2022 Whiteford Road, Whiteford, Maryland 21160 on June 6th at 1 PM.
