MICHAEL G. GREEN, SR., 59 years of Dallastown, PA, formerly of Delta, departed this life at his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Married to Bonnie Lovella (Fisher) Green for 17 years, she preceded him in death on September 1, 2006.

Born on August 20, 1957 in York, PA, he was a son of Lois Hawkins of New Castle, DE. A longtime resident of Delta, he graduated in 1975 from Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. His employment history included Burns Security at the Peach Bottom Atomic Plant, Whiteford Enterprises, his own business, CCS Building Services, and more recently he worked as a maintenance employee with the York City Housing Authority. He helped coach the football team at Kennard Dale as well as recreational baseball and travel team coaching in Delta. Mr. Green was a member of Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church in Delta. Enjoying hunting and fishing, he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory: two children - Michael G. Green, Jr. of Dallastown, PA and Denise A. Green of Baltimore, MD. a grandchild, Laila Davis of Baltimore, a sister, Patricia Hawkins of New Castle, DE and brother, Mark Hawkins of Quinton, NJ, a stepfather, Gilbert Hawkins of New Castle, DE, and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. Funeral staff will be outside assisting with parking during services.

A second visitation will be held on Friday, the 10th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed immediately with the funeral service at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, 1006 Main Street, Delta, with Reverend Mary Johnson presiding. Interment will be in Trinity Zion Cemetery, Delta, PA.
